Children have a choice and can bring their own lunch in to school or they can have a hot meal served by our lunch time staff.

School meals are provided from a neighbouring school kitchen and are of very good quality and value. Money for school meals is paid a week in advance and collected each Friday morning. At the moment school meals cost £2.20 per day. Any change in price will be notified to parents in advance. Please send all payments, for school meals, to school in a sealed envelope with the contents and the child’s name noted on the outside. Cheques for school meals should be made payable to Lancashire County Council.

Children who do not have school meals may bring a packed lunch but no glass bottles or breakable flasks containing drinks are allowed; this is for health and safety reasons. We do not have the facility for the preparation of snacks such as Pot Noodles. Children who bring a packed lunch are encouraged to take all of their rubbish home with them as this can often be an indication to parents of how much a child has eaten during the day.

As SS Peter & Paul‟s is part of the Healthy Schools Scheme we encourage children to avoid bringing sweets to school as part of their packed lunch or for snacks.

Milk is provided for all infant children, up to the age of 7, at a cost of £12.00 per term. Payment for milk should be sent to school, with cheques being made payable to Lancashire County Council.

Fruit is provided for all infant children.
